Associate Research Director - Minneapolis, MN (346)
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Overview

Harris Interactive seeks an accomplished researcher/director to manage various practice areas with in the Customer Loyalty/Satisfaction group in Minneapolis, MN.

 

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex projects from concept through final presentation.
  • Analyze data and present findings to clients.
  • Advise clients on the appropriateness of survey design and use of survey data.
  • Provides "value add" consultative advice to clients.
  • Act as main liaison between client and internal research and support staff.
  • Design and field questionnaires.
  • Develop proposals (response to RFP's).
  • Create budget and project schedules; manage resources to meet commitments to clients.
  • Trouble shoot and quality check initial and final survey data.
  • Write reports of findings, including conclusions and recommendations.
  • Understand and communicate the business implications of research findings.
  • Utilize various data analysis programs.
  • Work with survey/questionnaire programmers and samplers to ensure the quality and quantity of survey data is accurate.
  • Potentially manage 1-2 direct reports.
  • Train new employees.

 

Requirements
  • MA, MS, (PhD preferred) or related advanced degree in market research, social sciences, economics, statistics or business.
  • 3-5 years of Research experience.
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
  • Strong quantitative abilities.
  • Statistical background, including applications experience, decision modeling and multivariate analysis.
  • Customized Research experience preferred.
  • Supplier-side experience desired.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of statistical software (SPSS/SAS) highly desired.
  • Solid client management and project management skills.
  • PC/Windows skills required.
