Client Services Manager - Rochester, NY or Norwalk, CT (481)

With minimal direction from a senior team member, the Client Services Manager assumes responsibility for the development and implementation of a broad range of complex market research, administrative and technical activities in support of Harris Interactive Client Services project implementation. The position entails managing a variety of tasks that ensure the timely execution and delivery of Client Services projects while working to ensure that all Harris Interactive standards for quality and professionalism are maintained.

  • Develop and maintain existing internal & external client relationships.
  • Manage all aspects of specific client relationships including: project initiation, project scheduling, adapting survey instruments to meet Harris Interactive standards.
  • Manage field activities to ensure projects timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain quality and productivity standards for all projects.
  • Communicates with internal and external clients and functions as the main point of contact.
  • Knowledge of Internet based market research including both internal and external capabilities.
  • Client service managers who support internal Harris Interactive researchers also consult on budgets and proposals.
  • Client service managers who support International activities also:
  • Prepare and send quotation requests to Global Network Member’s and preferred vendors, summarizes responses and advises project managers regarding vendor choices.
  • Compile information regarding specific country schedules, local culture and regulations, unique country sampling plans and universe statistics.
  • Arrange for translation and back-checking, client visits, pretests, program testing.
  • Maintain the RFP database, Job databases, updates Supplier database.
  • Acknowledge receipt of quotations and informs vendors of status of proposals.
  • Coordinate global shipping.
  • Bachelors’ degree preferred or minimum of 5 years complex customer service marketing, sales experience.
  • Proven technical skills (Microsoft Word, Excel preferred).
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication and proofreading skills.
  • Experience maintaining and developing internal and external client relationships.
  • Experience with quality improvement management a plus.
  • Market research experience a plus.
  • Client service managers who support International activities are also:
  • Required to work flexible hours to accommodate international time differences.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language preferred.
