Manager, Data Processing - (624)
Location: New York, New Jersey, or Rochester

Overview

Responsible for project fulfillment and the overall management of a team of Market Research Data Processing Programmers

Reports to Director, Research Operations

Responsibilities
  • Manage staff for personnel issues, training and mentoring, staff development, quality control, adherence to standards
  • Monitoring of staff hours, billable/non-billable time, vacation time
  • Responsible for training and development of team members (performance appraisals, development and implementation of employee action plans), skill assessment of staff; remedial action implemented if necessary.
  • Provide project level support for offshore suppliers and research staff for outsourced jobs.
  • Use experience to make value-added suggestions and recommendations to project staff.
  • Engage with peers to ensure that there is consistency within the department
  • Serve as a role model to the staff relative to project fulfillment and problem resolution
  • Monitor work status of all team members, assign projects, resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Keep current with new developments and updates.
  • Expected to allocate 35% of time to project fulfillment
  • Manage the fulfillment of specific departmental Quality initiatives for internal and offshore teams.
  • Ensure quality measures, processes and procedures communicated to all staff in the team and are adhered to by all staff in the internal and offshore teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelorís degree in related field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Statistics) and 4-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Expert knowledge of market research software such as Quantum or SurveyCraft.
  • Good knowledge of statistics and statistical terminology.
  • Expert knowledge of the various tools, procedures and processes used to process research data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
