Harris Interactive cheers UK media success


November 24, 2008 Harris Interactive’s UK based Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) team is celebrating following the news that sales have reached the $1million mark in its media division in its first 12 months.

The company merged its Media research into the Technology and Telecoms team in October 2007 to reflect the growing convergence of content and platform operators in this space, and to better serve clients in an increasingly hi-tech and interactive market place. The 35-strong TMT team has over 20 years’ experience of working with some of the largest and best-known companies in the world.

The $1million milestone makes the media division one of fastest growing areas at Harris Interactive UK. Earlier this year, the company recruited media expert Andrew Freeman as a Senior Consultant bringing expertise from a research career at LBC Radio, ad agency DMB&B; and GCap media.

More recently, Steve Evans has joined the media division bringing specific expertise in music, film and entertainment. Evans was previously Research Director and Entertainment Media Research.

The $1million turnover includes a raft of new clients (indeed, only one was working with Harris Interactive more than 12 months ago) from TV, radio, publishing, and online, and covers commercial/advertising, content, audience and marcoms research.
