Harris Poll Forecast for British Election Close to Result
LONDON—6 May 2005—With a few votes still to be declared, the official
result of how the British voted in Thursday’s general election is not yet in;
but the latest estimates will be very close to the final numbers. They show a
result which is close to the final Harris Poll of 4,116 likely voters conducted
online by HI Europe, a subsidiary of Harris Interactive®.

Scotland
Because of the large sample, The Harris Poll® was able to
publish a separate forecast of the Scottish vote which is also close to the
estimated result.

This is the first time Harris Interactive and HI Europe have used their
online survey techniques to predict an election outside the United States.
